- You’ll be taken on a gentle pontoon ride with a knowledgeable leader and learn about the area and the lake itself. Captain Kurt will grill your bratwurst for a floating dinner, along with chips and bottled water. You can even bring your own items to throw on the grill if you like! You must reserve your tour by calling (580) 465-4705. Pontoon boat is 30 ft. in length

- Trail Rides – are offered starting each hour. The ride will take you through 2 1/2 miles of scenic Beavers Bend State Park’s Game Reserve. Expect to see some of the native wildlife such as white tail deer, coyote, fox, squirrel, ect. The ride lasts approximately 45 minutes, but please allow at least an hour.

- Train Rides – Take a train ride on a 1/3 size replica of the C.P. Huntinton S.P. train that was built in 1863, through beautiful Beavers Bend State Park’s Game Reserve. The train runs 2 times per hour, and the ride usually takes 15 to 20 minutes. Riders will sometimes spot some native wildlife, go up and down Wahoo Hill and run though a tunnel before pulling back in to the station … don’t forget your camera!
- Hay Rides – are scheduled 2 times per week for general public, please check with Beavers Bend Depot for times of departure. The hay ride lasts a little over an hour. A private hay ride for family reunions, organizations, or any other group may be scheduled any time. Please call (580)-494-6613 to make reservations.

- Directions to the Trailhead: From intersection of Hwy 259 and Hwy 3 in Broken Bow, go north on 259 approximately 8 miles. Turn right into 259A’s second entrance toward the Broken Bow dam. Go 4 miles and take a right just before the dam onto Beavers Bend Road. Go .4 miles and turn into parking lot on the right. The Friends of Beavers Bend trail is on the right.
- Difficulty Level: Intermediate
- This intermediate trail begins at Spillway Creek below the dam and makes a 1.5 mile loop. Hikers can expect rugged terrain with rocky outcroppings and a steep incline. Enjoy panoramic views of the lake from the top of a ridge during this special guided hike. Participants should bring a refillable container for water and wear appropriate clothing for hiking. Hikes are expected to last 1.5 to two hours
